Toronto Floats “City-Led Development Model” To Deliver More Affordable Housing

The upcoming report by the Deputy City Manager for Development and Growth Services is set to be reviewed by the Executive Committee on October 31 and City Council between November 8 and 10. It recommends 22 changes to Toronto's housing system to bring more affordable housing to market, with a focus on five housing-ready sites, a City-led development model, and up to $800 million in grant funding and between $6.5-8 billion in low-cost financing and re-payable loans over the next seven years.
